I was talking with Dave Miller the other day and he said they were Kool-Fuel bars. I also remember seeing some pictures of them in old mags and I think that's what they are. Here's an old Kool-Fuel decal I have had for a few years.

[/ QUOTE ] Thanks Tommy for the scan of the decal! Neat. Love the '70s theme.."Keep on Trackin'"..LOL.. I remember those days. I'll make a note of the brands. So far searching on the www has not returned any pics or info. I don't think I have any magazines that go that far back. I didn't get into the hot-rod/musclecar stuff till about 1979. I do have several boxes of old magazines in the attic at Dad's that I hope I didn't throw away over the years. |

What happened to the engine that was in the car? Can you track it down?
I recall one of the members on here snet Joel the money to verify his car and the letter came back as (paraphradsed) "That car is the style of what we built at Motion and may be a Motion car". Anyone else please correct me if I am incorrect. You may want to invite some local Yenko.net members to come on over and go over the car before sending Joel the money. A keg and a BBQ go a long way to inducing guys to take a look!! Either way it is/will be a cool car!!!!

What kind of shocks are those? Did the car receive the "Top Cat" kit? Hurst shocks?

No idea yet where that engine is. Of course it would not be a 'numbers matching' block. Somewhere out there is an LT1 with the matching VIN number. As for spending the $$ to have Joel authenticate the Camaro, I'd hope that something more definitive than 'it may be a MOTION' would be sent back. It better be a firm YES or NO, not a...'maybe'. If there are any of you here in the Raleigh area or willing to come out to take a look in person that would be great! Especially if you know what to look for. Still we'd love to show it to anyone. I myself want to haul it out to The Forge in TN if they're willing to have this 'barn find' on display. I think quite a bit of attention would result. I didn't see any obvious markings or decals when I was taking pics under it the other day. |
