His car should only have a PCV also if it was from out of state. He has to take the car to the state SMOG board before he allowed to drive it again. He called today and got a message that they are closed due to the "budget crisis". Talk about being up a creek without a paddle.

Jason, Was that the California Highway Patrol or local Police? Personally I think that's a low blow, cheap shot, chicken sh*t citation for just cruising on a back road.

They should stop closing the drag strips down in California in an effort to curb street racing instead of ticketing.

Well said. I live about 30min. from Sacramento Raceway and went to an event about a year ago and couldn't believe all of the homes that have gone up near buy. I'm sure the wrighting is on the wall

Get 57 Chevy There was NO SMOG EQUIMENT on them
I would like to see some cop ask where is the cat
Nothing they can do if that is the game they are playing out there thats how you beat them drive an older car that never came with smog equiment

about 6 years ago when I restored my 70 chevelle ss L78
I told my friend that I was going to install the pollution
pump on the car back to original.The reason I wanted to put that equipment back on the car was because I knew that someday the cops are going to fine anyone that does not have it.My friend said to me I was F--- in Nuts. I payed 3500.00 for a complete original almost NOS one. Then he realy thought I had lost it.
