Charley, you forgot the ".jpg" file extension.
Here's a copy of your file, renamed appropriately: ![]() |

Chip Gerst has the car now and it is for sale at 95000.00. He has been doing alot of cleanup work to it. When at the Auction nobody mentioned that it had the orig. Yenko Invoice with it. It is YS 604. "Yenko 427 Stomper". Price was 5246.00. Side exhaust was 280.00. I will attempt to take a pic of a Faxed copy of Invoice. Are there very many out there with Invoices ? Chip can be reached at 714-325-4490.

Charlie and others,
Is this the earliest '67 Yenko Camaro known to exist? Is the history of the car questionable? Was this car manufactured before the last week of December '66, when the 3 Z28's were made for Don? (the #2,3,4 preproduction models) Inquiring minds need to know. ![]() |

02E car... Sold new at Earl Davis Chevrolet, Mansfield Ohio. Apparently there is a twin out there that was sold at Humphries Chevrolet in Wisconsin.

These early cars must be quite a mystery waiting to unfold. Tom, do any of your new or old archives hold any keys to the history of these early cars? Does anyone know which was the first Yenko Camaro? Is there any information about the light colored YENKO SUPER CAMARO with SS/RS trim and black vinyl top in the "Engineered by Dick Harrell" SPAN-INC. Presents the 1967 YENKO SPORTSCARS ad in 1967? (caps are as they appear in the ad) Is this the "first" Yenko Camaro? Do any other members have further info they are willing to share? Maybe this should be a new thread.

Good field work Charley. Do you have those dogs trained to sniff out special yellow Camaros? Did the car have the Yenko YS tag in the door jam? Yenko put an ID tag on the 66 Stingers and the 68 Camaro but I don't think the 67 Camaro got them? The 1968 YS numbers begin at 8000 and the 1969 numbers begin at 9000 but that 67 Camaro is YS 604. I guess its just more of those little Yenko mysteries. I also see it has Traction Masters on the option list. These were early traction bars popular at that time and used by Shelby, Motion, and others.

Interesting, they double charged them for the style trim. RS includes the style trim, but it also appears on the sticker as an additional item. And the price is the correct price for both items.
