As expected, thanks for the great advice guys! It looks like I will have to head back there around the mid to end of next week. I'll be sure and grab pics and try to post them. I guess if it has the dana rear, I'll just give the guy the money right there.

. Most of the time it is just a partial there, like the last 8.

the last 8 would be the most important anyways.

Ok guys, I went down today and snapped some pics and got what I could. I think I know why it is only $500.... A nasty German Shepard that can get to you while you are at the car! A trip to the local store and 2 lbs of hamburger later, I was able to keep him at bay long enough to get some pictures. With all the comotion about the dog, I forgot to check the vin on the radiator support and look for the tag on the drivers inner fender. If you guys think it is worth setting up a time to look at, I'll get all that stuff next time. I did get the vin and the part of the engine stamp that I could see. VIN is rm23n06Gxxxxx. The engine pad was partially blocked by the alt. bracket and the distributor. I could make out D383 on one line and a "6" on a line below it. If you zoom in on the pics you can see it. The car lists 383/auto on the front. The interior is pretty complete minus a radio, but all of it is in fairly rough shape. The car is in primer, so I have no idea how much bondo is underneath, but I could see that the drivers side floor would need fixing. Anyway, what do you guys think this is worth?
Thanks again.

I'll be the first to admit i don't know much about mopars, but i do know that car is worth 500.00 any day of the week...The parts alone are worth it, and to be honest, the car looks very savable if its truly a roadrunner. Hood looks like a roadrunner piece, but I'm sure the mopar guru's will be able to tell you for sure what it is... heck, the magnum 500 wheels are probably worth close to the asking price! Its got a complete driveline too... pay the man, bring some treats for the dog, and get that car home!

Wow! I love Road Runners. I'd have it home already. Good luck. I'll be glad to take it off your hands if you don't want it.

$500 ALL DAY LONG !! Snag it.

RM23NOGXXXXXX is a '70 Plymouth Road Runner hardtop, 383, built in St. Louis. I believe that the "6" in your VIN description is a typo.

B-body 8 3/4 rear axle is worth it alone -- especially if it is a 3.55 or 3.91.

Hood -- even though it's a non-Air Grabber, those still will fetch $350 +.

If the pad says *D383*, it is a '68 non-HP 383. No big deal. The only thing that was different between HP and non-HP was the camshaft and the valve springs. Same *906* heads. Those cores go for around $200. The motor will have a steel crank in it too. Also an easy $200 bill. Just a cursory inventory will get you $2000 worth of parts on it. Well worth the initial investment IMO.

Just saw the manual steering box. That's a $100 core - no problem.

Thanks guys. Casey, yes it was a typo on my part. Vin is rm23n0gxxxxxx. It looks like I'll give the guy a call and pick it up. I'll probably just throw it on ebay and see if I can make some money to help out with my honeymoon the end of March! There is another lime green mopar behind those trees. I'll have to ask about it when I go down.
