The last few days I have removed the fuel tank to clean it, and the surrounding area of dirt, undercoating, and anything else the does not belong in there.

I must say, I found some undercoating that struck me as a factory finish. It is much more robust than anything else I had found on this car or the 80 Z28 I recently did the same thing with. NJ Steve, I looked through a couple of your threads and did not see anything real conclusive that would mirror my findings.

Anyways............

I got the trans back from Crash a couple of weeks ago, and all of the new exhaust parts came in. On the advice of NJSteve, I purchased the Pypes system along with the Ram Air Restoration manifolds. Just waiting for the exhaust tips and the car will be for the most part, finished.

----Wow! Love that underbody! With those exhaust manifolds and that exhaust set-up you should put "HO" on the shaker after the 455!!!

Double check your Ram Air PCs, they sent one side to me that was wrong, never made it rite, hung up the phone when we talked about it. GTO have a diff pattern on the ears. They sent me a GTO driver side manifold.

Everything fit perfectly. Heat cycled it a few times, cinched everything back up some more......and we're good to go. I suggested the same system to a customer of mine yesterday, and now I am installing that in his 78 TA.
