Well, if you "Pure Stock Drag" guys are interested in a forum here, then let me know, or you can just use the regular forum. Either way, we are happy to have you guys here. Maybe you guys can help keep us honest, and help us to see that their other brands besides GM...right? Anyway, makes no difference to me. In fact, I mentioned to Dan about 1 1/2 years ago that the PSMCDR site needed a forum...

Kurt S.It may have been. I got it from the owner of an old Arco gas station. 65 Rivs had a tag on the console.I remember the name like it was yesterday. It Read"Custom Built For Don McDermott" It also had a real old set of 3 Airguide gauges mounted on the console....Tach, Vacuum and oil/amps/water.They were about 3" gages. These were installed at the dealer ! I am sure if the car exists they will still be on it.

Rob; I think you better talk to Dan before you set up a Pure Stock forum, after all, it is his party. Also in all fairness to Dave Greene and his bunch, they worked hard to have a great BB. Just because there having some technical difficulties, I don't think all the members should or would be totally jumping ship. I personally watched both and even sneak into the Moparts section every now and then (only when I'm feeling reckless.) I think a wait and see attitude is not a bad idea right now.

COPO PETE in MOPARTS ??????

I must say that MOPARTS is one of the premier Mopar sites out there. If you guys feel *reckless* like Pete, and wanna hear about the Pentastar bunch, I'd recommend that site highly.

I agree with Pete. Any interest in anything to do with the PSMCDR, etc. should be run by Dan.

Now we know how Pete gets his Shivvys to run so good! I think the PSMCDR site would be the best place for it, but does Dan want to do it? How much is involved in setting up one of these things? Is it just a matter of buying software? Bob Bodens' son is the one who does their site(thats what I was told anyhow). I'm sure the Buick board will be up soon also. But then again I wonder if the Buick club really wants a bunch of strangers cruising their site?? So much for club secrets.

I agree 100% guys. Thats why I haven't done anything yet. The only way I would have made a move is if the Buick board had NOT been brought back up (which it will be according to Dave G.), or if Dan/Bob had asked me to do something.

Like Mike said, I feel that Dan/Bob's site is the natural place for a message board where the Pure Stock guys can hang out. For us newbies to the event, the PSMCDR web site is one of the first places we head to learn about the event. But, the Buick guys should be thanked for giving us a place to hang out, as they have taken a lot of heat, yet still provided a place for us to hang out.

I mentioned something to Dan about a year or so ago about a message board, and he told me that Bob's son ran the PSMCDR site, so I left it at that. I didn't want to seem like a pain in the a**, so I had to do some searching until I found where most of brands hang out. Let's see...I found the Buicks, Mopars, and Studes...so, where are the Ford and Chevy guys hanging out? Maybe a simple link from Dan/Bob's site to the PMSCDR forum on the Buick board would work?

Rob; What is the address for the Stude site. Thought I would read up on the glotting on them beating up on your little brother in the Yenko. I bet the letter in MCR really made all the Stude members there proud! ...."most importantly, a 427 Yenko Camaro" ...give me a break!

Yeah, that letter by one of the Studes was pretty dorky. How fast do you think those things would be without a hoofer attached ? Probably be a good run for my dually.

PS - Let's not loose steam on our *TOW VEHICLE SHOOTOUT* - can't forget the fun stuff ...........

Pete:

Here is where the Studebaker guys generally hang out: http://groups.google.com/groups?oi=djq&as_q=studebaker This is the archive for there newsgroup (I am a member of the newsgroup also). Do a search on "yenko", and enjoy the reading . I have a bunch of the threads regarding our car (known as the "loser Yenko" to some on that newsgroup) printed off on a piece of paper that I am using for "inspiration".

I would LOVE a rematch, but of a "certified" Stude versus our "certified" Yenko. I haven't really said anything to the Stude guys about any of there comments, but the letter kind of "got my attention". Oh well...we'll see if our rebuild will lower our ET any...

Casey:

So, a tow vehicle shootout...any entrants so far? How about a category for BIGGEST tow vehicle/trailer?
