Re: Winter driving
The Velvet '60 Vette is great, we had a '63 Coupe in our town covered in the same stuff. I see the '60 has a famous early Vette modification - "the joined front pan" . Pull off the front bumpers, saw out the bumper recess, raise the pan, glass it together........ala, full custom and front looked raised up cause all the suspension showed, like a gasser. Many 58-62's got this, easy to do, a nightmare to undo (I've done a couple) Where is this Velvet '60 today ? Another thought.....did you ever notice the most chopped up, modified, screwed with cars were always the big horse, hot models to start with ? Nobody ever did flares, spoilers, custom tailights, etc on a 250hp powerglide, they started with a Fuelie or 435hp car. The most modified mid year in Erie started out as a 64 Fuelie Coupe BIG TANK, J56 brake, KO wheel, blk-blk car with all the orig drivetrain. Car still in Erie, unbuyable but she needs huge body panel replacement, they did'nt leave much untouched. Super cool car though. C'mon more old pictures, PLEASE. The straight axle '57 is killer.
