I assumed that was it....just didn't no how to decipher it. Looked in Colvin's book but it refers to date codes in a circle. I guess the 3 dots = march (3rd month) and the one dot = 1st week...what do the first 4 dots mean??

Also, the partial VIN stamp...shouldn't the first digit be a "1" for Chevrolet...it looks like a 7

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that there is a dot for each week in the corresponding 12 boxes?

Firstgenaddict, Hit the nail on the head...

The grid has 6 boxes in a row on top and a row of 6 boxes below, top row is Jan. to June left to right, bottom row July to Dec. left to right, the dots are the weeks of the month that the case was cast...

Hope this helps... Crash

So why are the dots in three of the grid boxes, which should each be separate months.
Jan, Feb, March?

Continued use of the same mold throughout the year?

Punch marks in the mold show up as dots on the case.

If I understood correctly:

One dot = first week week of the particular month
Two dots = second week of the particular month etc........

One box = one month, starting left to right at upper left with January

one dot in third upper box = 1st week March casting

The owner says he got it as a basket case and he has the title history to 1975.
I'm surprized the car has gotten to over 90K with so many obvious restamps and no paperwork.

Owner and high bidder have 0 history.I would think as a well done clone that 75K would be tops in todays market.

Nice looking car.

I may be stating what should be obvious, but no way would I bid against a brand new to eBay bidder for a high dollar item being sold by a zero feedback seller. Crazy. Looks like he was bidding it up to me. Just my opinion here, nothing more.

And what do you bet now comes the ten second chance offers from all over Nigeria. Oh yeah, Western Union only accepted.
