When Heavy was sentenced to prison, the authorities would confiscate all of Heavy's assets such as cars, trucks, etc. Heavy's cars were sent to different garages to hide them and were repainted and so on so that the authorities would not confiscate them. Some were sold to England (Duster and Challenger).
If my memory is right one guy in Sweden bought a 69 L88 Corvette but it was confiscated at custom because it had belonged to New York's biggest drug dealer. Heavy had a black Baldwin Motion L88 Corvette. Last edited by Carleen; 08-28-2023 at 12:32 PM. |

How do you know the orange RS '69 became the white one? White one might have standard grille too?

Probably they tried to make it faster with Fiberglass front Fenders and Fiberglass front parts. Best et 9.89 but could not compete with Sox&Martin short stroke Hemi cars. Low 9s |

Spoke with Heavy at some of the early Snowbirds at Cecil County in early 70's. Nice person to talk with. Was driving his B/MP 66-67 Chevelle those days. A nice guy!

Someone should have interviewed those involved and made a movie about Heavy and his life before everyone is gone.
