Re: Firebird at Local Show
The downer is that that particular car is a REAL 1969 Ram Air IV 4-Speed car originally.

Re: Firebird at Local Show
I wonder what the rest of the interior looks like. Never seen 69 camaro buckets with a 70-72 A Body headrest before. Interesting look. Mark, are you serious?

Re: Firebird at Local Show
Wow, what a weird car! The owner seems to have wanted a 2nd Gen Trans Am. He added t-tops (look to be from a 77 Trans Am), shaker scoop (maybe from a 70-76 Trans Am), and an entire front spoiler setup from a 79-81 Trans Am. I'm not sure what effect he was going for with the black nose, and the rear wing looks it fell off a 70 Super Bee. With that day-glow yellow paint and lacy pinstriping, my guess is that this may be the owner...

I have a bunch of Popular Hotrodding magazines from the late 70s and early 80s and they are full of cars in that style. It was the hot thing back then and very cool. Maybe ten years from now we will see them restored back to that style. Jan |
