Default Hi everybody

Hi. I just registered, so I thought I might give a quick introduction. I'm currently working on a master's degree in chemistry, and yesterday was my 12th anniversary with my 1970 Nova. I've gotten some good information from this board over the years, but the Day 2 thread is what finally got me to join. Looking forward to participating...

Well, it's not a COPO or dealer car or even a real SS, but it's in really good shape. This is an older pic, but it's the best one I have:

It used to have a small block:

Now it has a big block:

Thanks for the compliments. It's not quite exactly how I want it yet, but I love it to death anyway, and I'll get it right eventually.

Paul, it's funny you should mention my new hood. With the small block, it had a flat hood. I bought a 73-74 hood a few years ago in anticipation of the tunnel rammed big block, but I just can't bear to cut up a perfectly good, original, US-made steel hood. Maybe in the spring I'll get a flat fiberglass hood and cut myself a hole, but I'm more concerned with getting it running before I worry about the hood situation.

One thing I forgot to mention in my first post is that I despise parts made in China and pretty much any other place that isn't the USA.
