Default Nickey beat them all in Turkey !

Got your attention there I guess! But this is not about racing.
We went to Turkey three weeks ago to play golf with some friends. The travel agency arranged some contests so we participated in them. I have just been playing a couple of years so my hpc was 25.6 when we got there. The first day Lisa and I won a bestball-contest for couples. We got 44 points.
The second day we played the same course, the Montgomerie championship course. It was the first day in a two day single-contest. I got round the course three under par(net-result of course)without too much trouble. The picture below was taken on the first tee of the Kaya Eagles course the second day of the same contest. I was wearing the red leadershirt they put on me as I was hunted by 36 other players. The other men and women in the leaderball were 2,4 and 5 strokes behind me. But the Nickey-cap kept my head cool and I finished that second day on par, and won the contest by ten strokes. I guess this was the first and last time I won but it was fun anyway.

Thank´s for the cap Stefano !
Anders

With a grip like that I am guessing you had a nice draw on that shot!

It´s funny because one of the travel agency employees asked me what I thought of my shoes. Did I like them ? He said that he thought they were kind of soft and that when my hpc would get down close to 10, I would prefer a shoe that was more firm. I bought them because I didn´t want any "Fred Astaire"-shoes and because they fit perfectly the first time. After he had asked me I thought that if Fred Couples can play the PGA-tour in sailing shoes, I can probably play my home course in these ECCO-shoes.
Since I´m new to golf, it´s the first year I use a driver. The first month and a half (this spring) I struck the ball hard and straight. Then I started to hook them badly not knowing what I did wrong. To compensate for the hook I then started to hit the ball from the outside and in, and got a nice fade to them. But now they usually just go straight as long as I manage to hit them right, which I don´t always do.
What I like about golf is that you can always get better, you can always hit better and be more precise. It doesn´t look hard, but it is.
