Default Diesel exhaust

Does anybody have a nos or good used exhaust pipe for a 97 gmc/ chevy 2500-3500 pickup? I need the small curved pipe between the two exhaust manifolds. It has the 6.5 diesel motor. Thanks. Jeff

That crossover is available aftermarket for abôut $100. It flows much better than the factory piece, too. The factory pipes were double walled and renowned for collapsing internally. You do the golfball test: if a golfball dropped in one end doesn't freely roll out the other side, it is collapsed.

I replaced the crossover in my 95 K2500 Suburban when we did the head gaskets last year. You might want to replace the turbo down pipe and the exhaust as well while you are under there. It really improves the power.

The whole exhaust adds about 20 horsepower and a ton of torque. Really noticeable improvement.
I got the Diamond Eye system off of ebay, directly from Diamond Eye. Gives you a couple more mpgs, too.

They offer free shippng which is a big deal on a box this big and heavy.

If you are are near Trenton, Mufflex is neaby and does excellent work. I had them do a bunch of custome stuff on my Audi. Your truck has better aftermarket support than my Audi, but when my Truck needs exhaust- that is where I will go. Strange though, 250k and my truck still has its original exhaust!

I have used Mufflex for past work - they do great custom stuff. They did the exhaust on my 1970 Hemi Charger a few years ago. I also had them replace the factory muffler in the Suburban about ten years ago. But you'll pay 2-3 times as much to have a system custom made from them than what is commercially available for your truck. That turbo down pipe would be really hard to create on a bender since it has to weave around all sorts of items before entering a clean space underneath the truck. No need to reinvent the wheel when it's already out there and relatively inexpensive.

That's why I bought mine from Diamond Eye and installed it myself.
