Very nice set...standard bore block from 124378n420747, never hurt, low miles, can easily go back together standard. Beautiful original stamp and broach marks. I also have the original pistons and rods from this engine in excellent shape, with the main bearings still in place. I don't have the crank, but maybe you do, and if so, here's your shot at an all-GM 302 short block for a fair price.
I purchased these from a guy who bought the complete short block at Shalla Chevrolet, a local Eastside Detroit dealer, in 1969. Evidently these were takeouts from a Z that was turned into a race car. I haven't tried too hard to find the car but how cool would it be if it were still out there? Looking for $1600 for the entire setup, which I believe is pretty fair for this stuff. I'll get pics this week. Thanks, Tony |
