So what's a 1970 RS/SS 396 L78 w/docs worth?
I was just talking to somebody that found an original owner RS/SS L78 car. It will need some restoring, engine rebuild and a repaint to bring it up to snuff. But almost everything is there. Is this a $15K, 20K, 25K, 30K, 35K car in this condition? What's it worth restored? 45K?

If it is a legit car, in mint condition it could be worth about $38-40k. I have only seen 3 of these cars for sale and all 3 were all up there high 30's (restored fully). An original unrestored car, one owner with docs, is hard to come by. Far and few between. You never find cars like this so putting a price on one maybe tough.

4 speed, not sure which one though. Price will probably be somewhere in the $20-30K range. And it is #'s matching with p-o-p and probably more paperwork.

According to GM all 600 were 4 speeds, but a guy that Charley Lillard knows has an auto and says he has a buildsheet to prove it. As of yet, the buildsheet has not been posted to the web for anyone to look at it. [img]/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/dunno.gif[/img]
