Surely a sad day for Chevrolet enthusiasts. I was fortunate enough to visit and tour Lingenfelters shop a few years ago. Sorry to here the news.

A sad day to say the least.
John was no doubt the "King" when it came to Chevrolet powered late model "supercars", representing the Bowtie in the various supercar shoot outs. His presence will be sorely missed. May he "Rest In Peace".

John was that rare humble superstar. He seemed to be the right person in the right place at the right time. Too damn bad fate didn't see it that way! The news put me in a bad mood all day yesterday. God help his loved ones.

Gosh!!!....I hated to hear the news. The high performance automotive world has lost a great one.
I've always considered John a modern day Smokey Yunick. May God rest his soul
