Default Smog Pulley #458DA What Was I Thinking

Chuck A aka Younnto had the following EBAY auction http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...02&rd=1ing
I should have known something was "wrong" when I was the ONLY bidder at his reserve of $100.00. I know I'm obligated to BUY the item......but now that Younnto has a different 458 pulley up for auction at a $499 reserve, WHAT did I buy?????....to add insult to injury, he gets $12.00 shipping for what will fit into a $3.95 FLAT RATE Priority Mail Envelope.......Arghhhhhh !!!!! Chuck,

Do both Smog pulleys look the same and do they have the same #?

Why don't you just Email him and tell him you thought you were buying GM but now realize it wasn't ?

Chuck Sharins sole intent was to bid on my auction and then cry to his buddies on this site.He knew what the shipping was because its LISTED clearly..he said he was sending a total he felt was fair for the part in his mind since he was the only bidder[next time im the only bidder on an ebay auction,i think ill renegotiate]..Anyone that knows hin knows he doesnt buy anything,he just likes to search for his prized L78 smog parts and make a note of where they are located[which evidently he knows i refused to sell to him several times in the past].....Chuck DEADBEAT bidder suits you more than "chuck in seattle"...Hope you got a pair of glasses under your christmas tree this year......some of you guys have already alienated myself and Heartbeat Jim from this site, that means youve cut down the percentage of rare parts available in the market to you by about 70%.......

Charlie,
Going by the add it must be a GM part & it probably fits the application. Maybe it's not "concours" correct with the F & P stamp on it

Readers, Will you please allow me to make a rebuttal to Chuck Alekinas's personal attack on me as previously posted:

1) My intent on buying his part was to obtain what I perceived as a USED original G.M. 458 Deep Groove smog pulley. Auction time was almost closing and I had no time to communicate with seller before hand. I'll admit I was too impulsive on an item that NO ONE else bid on.....that should have tipped me off to "something" but I obviously "wasnt thinking"

2) I have NO "buddies" on this site, but was appealing to the misc restoration experts here for there opinions on the eBay DESCRIPTION given by yountto...." a camaro nova and chevelle new #458 pulley part # f and p stamped, why buy nos gm with no part # just an ink stamp??....."

3) Anybody looking at my screenname/EBAYname CamarosRus can see I have had 33 transactions....FYI all PURCHASES...so why does Chuck Aleksinas assert "he doesnt buy anything".
I checked my own feedback and there were 36 praises (including one from Heartbeat City/Jim) and 1 Complaint over a $10.00 item that frankly I dont remember. There is nothing in my feedback using the word deadbeat bidder, and I resent Chuck Aleksinas alledging it....FYI I have spent several thousand dollars this past year with HeartBeat City..and I suggest that anybody ask Jim Stubbins about doing business with CHUCK SHARIN.

4) I never suggested I would NOT pay for this current EBAY auction. I emailed Chuck A and asked him for clarification on what I bought and his ONLY answer was that

"all details listed
clearly in the auction".....and thats why I admittedly was asking for opinions here as to WHAT THE PART ACTUALLY IS.
Chuck A's descriptiion says "new #458 pulley so...what would YOU expect to receive....His description mentions nothing of reproductuion.......

I also did not see (bad glasses) the $12.00 shipping charge...It just aggravates me when EBAY sellers overcharge on shipping when, in this case he could use a $3.85 FLAT RATE Priority Mail envelope.....He expects me to go to Post Office and send money order ....why cant he reciprocate in kind....I just feel MR Aleksinas is a seller who is less than honest, would not answer my Email with the REAL truth...and is deceptive with his descriptions.

I HAVE communicated several times with Chuck A in the past about buying L-78 smog parts and still dont know why he didnt answer my phone calls from Hemmings or my snail mail....I only asked for prices to be quoted on his advertised parts so I could make a buying decision..is that so unreasonable to ask for a price????

The BOTTOM LINE here is that I will be mailing Chuck A (aka yountto) his money order and await arrival of said part...
I do have INTEGRITY and will make good on this EBAY auction!!!!.....I do appreciate the opportunity to air my version of the TRUTH...

Respectfully submitted, Chuck Sharin

Admitted Buyer remorse ,and renegotiating a shipping price [that is CLEARLY listed ]after the contractual sale equals deadbeat..period.. No need to send payment, sale is done with, dont want to break your string of 45 calls, emails, postcard contacts with no purchases since 1996, have to go i need to tend to my paying customers. But hey, at least you got to get a cheap shot in,after all that was your reason for bidding ....
