When moving around some parts yesterday, I got my hands on a -68 302 intake-manifold. Holding it in my hands, I came to think about what Ken Dahl told us when we met him back in -86. Ken Dahl still lives in Cedar Rapids Iowa and has been dealing with High-Performance Chevrolets, for a long time. We bought the manifold from him.
He told us that back in the good old days, there was a local guy running a Yenko Camaro. ![]() He remembered it so well because he always had a policecar behind him ! Does anyone have a Yenko-car that has been in the area,or have anyone heard of a Cedar Rapids guy with a Yenko ? Anders

Anders, the last I knew Gary Holub owned it. In its day it was the top dog in CR. Schonye

Gary owns a LOT of supercars. I do not know the verification status on them, so I won't make a statement either way. But, I know he has a LOT of Yenko stripes on cars in his garage. He also has a ZL1. He is a pretty big hitter in tis area when it comes to finding cars. I do know he owns a fathom green 69 Yenko....is that the one you're asking about?

Carl Stuber isn't that far away either. At one point he had Fathom, LeMans and Daytona examples...

Do you know if Gary or Carl owned a Yenko in the late sixties or early seventies ?

No clue, I am too young and not well enough connected. Pretty tight lips here.

I don't think so, Anders. Gary would have known about them then, but I don't think he owned any until the early to mid-80s. Carl was later than that...

I don't think Gary had any until maybe the very late 70's. I'm thinking more like mid 80's. The car I believe you're thinkig about was in Swisher Ia. not far from CR. I think the org. owner worked for Sears, as I knew people who worked with him back when he was running the streets. It was a serious urban legend. I asked Gary about the car, and he said he had it. Don't know if he still does, but will be seeing him soon and will ask. Schonye

I believe in the Muscle Car Review where Gary was featured as having the largest Yenko collection in the world, it states that he bought his first Yenko which was a Camaro in I think 1984-1985?

Greetings: Just visiting the website I came across this post. I own the Fathom Green Yenko that you were referring to. Yes, the cops were always chasing it and it has quite the history here in Cedar Rapids. Gary Holub did own the car, and then I bought it from him. The original owner still lives right down the road from me and him and his wife come over to visit and watch NASCAR, but he has no interest in the car. He has done everything that he set out to do with it. Now he wants to drive the 2002 ZL-1 SUPERCAR! We even took the Yenko to the 50th anniversary with the original owner and wife to the Cordova World Series of Drag Racing and had it on display.
