This car is an automatic, without power steering, 1 of 4 so equipped in this color. This particular deuce was the 97th car produced, and was purchased many years ago as it was left sitting on the front lawn by the original owner. Since then the car has led a very sheltered life inside the showroom of the J&W Nova Parts Co. This car still has its original paint & stripes, along with some common day 2 additions." "This Yenko Deuce was sold new at Tamson Chevrolet in Danville, VA along with 5 other Deuces. Tamson received 4 automatics and 2 four speeds on 6/25/70, J&W now owns 3 of the automatics! This Deuce has one dealer installed option; Special Sport Mirrors, that were essentially borrowed from the Hurst/Olds’ and AMC Scramblers. This option was fairly common compared to the other dealer installed options, but made it hard to open the wing windows, and were frequently discarded." very cool, what are the other 2 that j&w own? [/ QUOTE ] J&W own a cran red a/t from Tamson, and a cortez silver a/t from Tamson. The red one is almost finished it's resto, the silver one is a major project. They would like to obtain a 4 speed deuce, but the lone 4speed tamson deuce that is found is not for sale. This 4speed car was red, but was actually painted blue by Tamson for the first owner! Don, if I recall, that was not the exact pronunciation from Sam Elliot when he first saw the sign ![]()

Cool car.. do they ever take it out to any events where they are vendors? I've never seen that one in person.
Marlin, of all the "found" Deuces, how many are still in original unrestored condition? Seems like there are quite a few.
