Vintage 1956 Corvette drag car. It runs 12.4s. Turns out the guy who owns it was best buddies with Pete, the guy I bought my hemi charger from 20 years ago. He gave me some sad news that his friend had passed away a year ago this week in an accident. Pete was a really nice guy and a collector of neat old performance stuff of all makes. We talked for about an hour and he was kind of bummed that neither he nor Pete's wife have any photos of Pete from back in the day, doing what he enjoyed, playing with cars. I told him I could take care of that and when I got home tonight I found a photo of his buddy standing next to the charger with an ear to ear grin on his face, holding a cigar, just after he pulled the tarp of the car to show it to me. I was a classic. I scanned it in and emailed it to him. I hope he likes it.
