Default Flemington, NJ Cruise Night 07/14/2007

Some interesting stuff out tonight:

How about a vintage Good Humor truck. It had dozens of kids running after it but alas there was no ice cream to be had.

A 1966 Impala big block wagon:

A 1969 SS396 Chevelle in burnished brown:

A 1971 SS396 Camaro:

A 1966 Hertz GT350:

A real Paxton supercharged 1967 Shelby GT350:

A 427 Galaxie. Nice stance!

A wild Ford pickup:

Really neat streetrod:

A bizarre 4wd on a British Thames sedan delivery. Looks like a baby "GraveDigger" monstertruck. What do you call it? How about "Pet Cemetery?"

Beautiful 1964 Mustang ragtop:

Wild 57 Chevy:

SS396 Chevelle and a GTO ragtop:

Nice 57 Corvette Fuelie roadster:

1952 Dodge Coronet Diplomat Sedan with Fidel Castro's cigar still in the ashtray:

Henry J with a big block Chevy:

1962 Studebaker sedan with a 289 and a 4 speed and some beautiful paint:

Vintage 1956 Corvette drag car. It runs 12.4s. Turns out the guy who owns it was best buddies with Pete, the guy I bought my hemi charger from 20 years ago. He gave me some sad news that his friend had passed away a year ago this week in an accident. Pete was a really nice guy and a collector of neat old performance stuff of all makes. We talked for about an hour and he was kind of bummed that neither he nor Pete's wife have any photos of Pete from back in the day, doing what he enjoyed, playing with cars. I told him I could take care of that and when I got home tonight I found a photo of his buddy standing next to the charger with an ear to ear grin on his face, holding a cigar, just after he pulled the tarp of the car to show it to me. I was a classic. I scanned it in and emailed it to him. I hope he likes it.

Here's the photo I sent him:
