Default 1969 Nova bench seat extenders

Well I finally drove the Nova last week end and I discovered that they do not have much leg room. Does anybody make seat track extenders for Novas and Chevelles like the ones made for a Camaro?

That's 'cause they were considered 'compact' cars!

I don't know of any seat extenders available for Nova bench seat frames. Just make sure it's all the way back, and bend your knees. If you are over 6' tall, you might have some head room issues too - I know that guys like myself, TommyK, BKH & AllenC have to duck into our Novas, (unlike schoneye who still sits on a phone book to see!).

Hey Mark, try sitting in the back and reaching over the seat

I don't have that trouble driving my nova! I actually have to pull the seat up a little. I have a wheel base like Stefano and Gags.......A Vienna sausage wheelbase!

At 6'2" and 230lbs I already hit my head getting in the car. I always thought that Camaros and Novas were about the same size. It's amazing what a difference an inch here and there will do for a car.

Yep! The roof line curves a bit at the top of the door frame, and the seats sit a bit higher. So, if you're 6'2", you'll need to take your time with the entrance/exits. Once you get used to the bench seat though, it's quite a nice drive - plenty of room for you sig other to slide over

I have always had 1969 Camaros but I can no longer afford a nice one anymore. So I have experimented with a project Nova, a project El Camino and now this Nova. I am still learning new things ever time I look in the garage.
