Don't need an NOS set. Buy a good used (original) set and have them polished.

[/ QUOTE ] Sam i could be wrong but i dont think they are SS, but are aluminum.. Not really easy to make 40 year old aluminum pieces nice especially if they are dinged up like 99% of them are, SS on the other hand you can work miracles with and take any flaws out of even dents and holes.Also hard working with 6 foot long thin pieces even if they are SS..

The el Caminos had a similar spier in '69 and it is anodized aluminum.

Very expensive to have aluminum replated or anodized. If a simple cleaner/polish doesnt work, or if they are damaged in any way,throw them out or sell to soimeone with a driver. SS pieces on the other hand can be bent in half and they can be repaired,welded and polished like new.
