I have located a 1967 Corvette Coupe with 35,000 original miles. It is unrestored with the following options. It has the 390 hp 427 engine and is a 4 speed car with telescopic wheel, am/fm radio, rally wheels, power steering and power brakes. The original paint shines and the original interior is in mint condition. The original spare has never been used. This car has been off the road since 1972 which was the last time it was inspected. It is a two owner car and has all of its original components except for tires and the lower radiator hose. The build sheet is also with the car. I am not a corvette enthusiast, however I would like to buy this car. Your assistance in establishing a fair market value would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

You didn't mention the color combination. If it is a desirable color exterior and interior, it will make a significant difference in the value of the car. It could mean a difference of 100% or more for some combinations.

Did you verify original engine, and you don't say how its been stored all these years. Is it started and exercised each year, or did they just park it in '72 and wash it for you in '08? Is it drivable, or do you think the fuel system and engine need to be cleaned out and prepared. It all makes a difference. I agree on the color being key as well.
Sounds very cool, though! Post pics if you get it. |

My apologies. The car is a green/green car with a white stinger. It has been garaged most, if not all of its life. It is a running, driving car with no known problems. I should have posted more information to begin with but my eagerness for immediate feedback probably contributed to these oversights. Additionally it does have it's born with engine, trans, rearend and as far as I'm concerned a must for it to be considered a true survivor. Thanks for your questions!

OK, I'll try...green/green is a price killer, but I'd say $70K plus/minus $5k depending on the percent untouched...ie fluffed underhood will hurt the value to a survivor nut.
