1967 Original Owner Charger
Hello all you Mopar fans,
My neighbor across the street comes over the other day and says he has a 1967 Silver / Black interior Charger that he bought new sitting in his parents garage for the last 20 years. It is a 318 Automatic car with A/C P/S P/B . He says it has some rust in the 1/4's has not run in 10 years and its all there. I assume it has some paper work. I should get some pictures of it with in the next couple of weeks and will post them when I do. I do not see many 1966 nor 1967 Chargers ever for sale. Is this a car someone would clone with a Hemi? What is a Car like this worth? I appreciate any input anyone would have. Thanks, Bill |

Re: 1967 Original Owner Charger
Bill,
The first years of the Charger are not overly popular. The 68s and 69s are where the attention is focused for many reasons. Even a factory Hemi car is just not going to bring the cash the 68-69 vintage will. People drop hemis on 68s and 69s all day long since you'll get some money back out of it. But not on the early ones. It's a cool car none the less, but only being a 318, low optioned, some rust to deal with..I don't think it'll command a very good price. Under $10k would be my bet, but that's my .02c. Parts aren't really available on the aftermarket side of things for the first years either. Regardless, post up pics! Cheers Dave |

Re: 1967 Original Owner Charger
Dave,
Thank You for the honest reply and your explanation makes perfect sense. A friend of mine in high school's father campaigned a Pink 1967 Charger called the "Flying Elephant" back in the late 70's @ Rockford Dragway. 440 with a tunnel ram. I always liked the interior on those cars with the long console & 4 buckets. I will post pictures as soon as I get them. Thanks Again, Bill |

Re: 1967 Original Owner Charger
The long console was only standard in '66.

Re: 1967 Original Owner Charger
Well the 1967 Charger arrived today and it is not Silver, it is a dark green metallic, looks to be original paint except r/r quarter. The 318 fired right up with fresh fuel, oil, filter and battery. Here are some pictures. Any input on value as it sits dirt and all? A MCACN Barn find Special for sure!
Thanks, Bill |

Re: 1967 Original Owner Charger
Nice score. ABout 5 years ago I drug my feet on a rust free complete 67 charger with a built aluminum headed 340 automatic asking price was $3500. Guy told me if you didn't unhook the battery when you shut it off it would need to be jumped. I really should have jumped on that car.
