BB would have a Tonawanda Number 1 Team decal.

Was your engine built at Flint "V" or Tonawanda "T". If I'm not mistaken, I've seen that decal on the RH valve cover of Tonawanda built small blocks also...Joe

According to a longtime GM employee, they didn't start using those Tonawanda The #1 stickers until 1967.

He's asking about a 1969 Nova SS,so think that decal would still apply, being after '67.
Here's a small block LM-1 camaro with the same decal. |

Engines slated for Chevy's SS model line up in the 69-70 model years were exclusively built at the Tonawanda, NY plant. And not just those years, IIR?

Yes, I did know he was talking about a '69. I can't tell you how many cars I've seen built before '67 with the stickers on the valve covers. I just wanted to get that bit of information out there before people start to think that all Tonawanda built engines came with them. 1967 and later only.

I believe my car was built in Flint.
Would it have had a sticker on the valve cover?
