Yes it would, there have been multiple offers of more than that for the old black 69 RS Z I played with 10-15 years ago.

IMHO the auto and the lack of D88 hurts the car, just like it hurt the Black LS6 DAVE BEEM had with 4,300 miles. Black on black sans ZL2 and Stripes will depress the value no matter the miles.
There is a 1000 mile black 69 RS/Z without stripes, cowl induction or endura... PRICED the same I would take the 45k mile non matching numbers car I was the care taker of VS the 1000 mile car because of the aesthetic appeal of stripes cowl induction and VE3.

Dave's 4300 mile black LS6 didn't have stripes, did have a M22. So how much did it actually hurt the selling price?

A real low mile black 69 Z RS Z/28 M22 410 Posi car with options might break 185K, but it's also a bit of a Unicorn in itself and doesn't need an auction to get it sold. That and it's got Stripes and a STICK!

I could be light and while no expert on Vert's or Chevelle's I have seen enough anomalies to throw out my guess and I'll stick by it. On a stretch I would have said 200K but that's it. Auto to me really holds it back. But what do I know?

I have always said and still believe that many people.... especially in this age of internet and bulletin boards and forums.... lots of people are quick to give opinions on values. Not just on rare cars but even high production Musclecars.

What many seem to forget is to not base your predictions or estimates of value on your own personal financial circumstances. It’s easy to do. Human Nature. The old .... NO WAY ID PAY XYZ FOR THAT scenario. Key word being “I”

Many people on forums spout out numbers and values based on little to no REAL Knowledge and often it’s based on their personal income. The guy making only $100K a year can’t ever see paying 3 x his salary for any car. Same goes for the guy making $62K a year. It’s perspective. Of course some predictions come via having watched a handful or fewer cars sell at auction or privately but again without really seeing them in person or knowing what others know ( in the KNOW ).

That all said., I’m not saying any person here or who has an opinion on this cars value doesn’t know the market or doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Just making an observation on questions of What do you think it will sell for? Generally get answered.

Leave the I Out of it and think about what might someone who has the resources might pay and what comparable cars might assist in your valuation.

Or just GUESS LOL

Bob Fuller LS6 @ SC Indy in 1986.
Only 222 miles put on it in 34 years.

My guess is between $225K and $250K. Low mileage with a known history.
