I love how he brags about the mint original seats and then tosses the still spinning, mini-bandsaw onto the driver's seat after hacking through the A-pillar. Who the heck uses a bandsaw? A sawzall would have cut through the pillar in 30 seconds.

I would think you would want to put that thing on a frame rack and try to pull it back into place at some time. Maybe should have pulled most of it out before hacking it.

According to a commenter on that second video: "Car was wrecked when the transmission mechanic took it out for a test drive on a rainy day after alignment of the blow proof bellhousing. I was told he went off road and into a tree. Walked away from accident and still works at the shop. It originally had a flat hood too."

Guy filming the videos thinks the car hit the corner of a house because he (supposedly) found scraps of lumber and drywall in the mangle of metal. If a wood frame house did that damage to the car, I want the same guy who built the house to build one for me. Maybe it hit a house after it hit a tree.

You always put in on the rack and pull before cutting anything. And heat with torch when pulling. I am going to guess that they are going to cut and replace parts. There are issues pushed over to the door pillar on the passenger side. If they do not make a pull, they might have a difficult time to get the passenger door fit right. pull on it and get the passenger door to fit perfect before cutting anything. It will be interesting to see what direction they go with it.

Ummm, D80 does not mean the car came with the ducted hood.
So rusty quarters, trunk, floors, fenders? Obviously, he has a different definition of "survivor" than most of us. |
