There was a COPO Nova Police car package built in 1974 as a small number of prototypes. They were sent to some police departments for testing. In 1975 Chevy made the COPO 9C1 Nova as a police package.

Wilma is correct, had a 69 L78 Nova with a BW coded rear (4:56) all the guts of it were gone, but housing cast date and assembly date jived with the car build date. I had a Fischer build sheet and have pics of the rear somewhere. Will hit the archives and see what I can find

Went back in the archives and did some diggin. I attached some pics of my old 69 L78 Nova, specifically the Fisher Build Sheet and rear stampings. Some items to note
The build date of the car was April 26, 04 26 (denoted upper left on BS) Rear CAST date was April 11 Rear ASSEMBLY date April 18 The rear was more than likely, original to the car as to get a 69 BW rear with matching dates to the rest of the car would be next to impossible. Now on the COPO issue, and the experts can chime in here, boxes 12 and 13 appear to indicate any COPO designation, there is nothing in those boxes.
