Default 1967-68 Camaro L30-M20 option/read

Dove into some searches and read up on a 327-275 HP with M20 4-Speed arrangement. As I am not too familiar with the 67-68 cars, I found this rather interesting that when the 2 options were ordered together, that the car automatically was upgraded with the 12-Bolt option to handle the power(although that makes sense to me). I was looking at a site that showed the use of that 12-Bolt having a mono leaf rear leaf. I was amazed in learning that a 12-Bolt came in a MONO leaf for an F-Body. Is there any of these cars still remaining? It would be interesting to find out how many are still in existence today.

I have seen a few but the problem is they are commonly converted to SS cars when they should be left left in a special category all their own.
I bet Kurt S could chime in on these.

as far as I'm aware all ss350's, 396's, and converted 427s in 1967 had monoleaf 12 bolts rears, wasn't till 68 multi leafs came into being, I believe..

Rich's article is at http://www.camaros.org/l30m20.shtml.

There's several around, but many do get converted to SS's (it has a 4P code on the tag, gotta be an SS, never mind that 327 in it). Don't see them very often, that's for sure.

All 67 Camaro springs were monoleaf, 10 and 12 bolt.
All 68-9 Camaro 12 bolts were multileafs.

283 ?? Just a cast 327 crankshaft, nothing special.Mine is a very late 68 L-30 and has no provision for a center balancer bolt. They made a lot of L-30's in 67&68.A great time and track proven motor that doesn't quite get enough recognition compare to the 350 and 302 of the same era. With a proper tune and the correct gearing this combo will scream.Kind of a sleeper....
