Default Re: Top Gear (TV) looking for Camaro experts in Miami

We (Murray's Speed & Custom, Miami) got involved in their 'project'.

T.G. was supposed to do a commercial at our place.

I spent the week setting up the showroom & getting cars for filming ... the day T.G. was to be there,
someone called us around noon & said their car broke down & couldn't make it.

Then thay asked if we could send some parts to the local track, Moroso Mortorsports Park, since they would film there.

We inquired on what type of parts for what car ... and ... get this ...
they wanted 'ricer' parts to bolt to an '89 Camaro to film at the track ... big aluminum wing, stick on scoops & the like.
Murray's is a true speed shop. We don't supply 'ricer' parts, just racing parts.
Even the import parts we carry are performance only.
So needless to say, we declined what seemed to be a spoof on American Muscle.

I don't know what they ended up doing, I guess we'll see when the show comes out.
