People still buy cherry '30s V8 Fords and hack them into street rods yet 'glass and repro steel bodies have been available for years. You know what it is? Anybody can buy a repro, but it's more prestigious to have original sheetmetal. Cutting-up an original car is more desireable to many than it is to simply buy repro.

Remember, what's "cooler" to say when someone asks if it's a real car? "Yeah, it's real." or "No, it's a repro body." There you have it.
