The magnetic switch was early in the mail and waiting for me after work today so I had to install it and test it. 1st “On” / Low speed, 2nd “Hi” speed, 3rd “Off”/park. The washer pump tested good too. The white doo-dad in the video is the switch that I replaced and it releases and latches the drive shaft that connects to the wipers. Brilliant Rube Goldberg!

My motto is "if they put it together, I can take it apart!" Getting it back together again and working is sometimes another thing. Thank goodness for folks that have gone there before and are willing to share their knowledge.

Nice work Samitron! As I keep saying....it's "Samtastic!" Always nice when someone else helps you with a delicate assembly like that. Mikey helped me with gutting my Thermactor pump on the 68. Very detailed and thorough. His instructions were "Just take it apart and pull all that crap outta there, then throw it back together. WTF? And how did you get my number?"

Can't wait to hover like a drone over your car in November!

Cheers
Dave

Wink wiper motor

Seems like a hell of waste of time considering that this car won't be out in the rain

I have to say I am not a fan of 69 Chevelles... HOWEVER.. This car has definitely changed my mind. Amazing work and great thread.. I also spy a little Double Life on the work bench.. You wouldn't happen to have an extra rotor button laying around would you?

It’s been 17 days since an update. I’m afraid this thread has been declining ever since it started, so really, the only thing to do is to sell me the car, and rather cheaply, that way it prevents me from writing anymore horrendously long run-on sentences that your Elementary School teacher told you was not proper English, about a mean looking Day 2 Chevelle that even a non-GM car owner like myself could easily add to his fleet and take all the credit for the work done. You’ll be hearing from my “people department” soon regarding my lucrative offer.

Nice work Samminator!!!

Cheers

Dave

Dave, it seems your keeping track of these things and that I may have shirked my duties . Here’s a few shots of the engine post rebuild, post cosmetic restoration.....

Like the air cleaner, not often used and shows off the carb nicely
