If he's really your friend then you should be honest with him about the value of the car. Don't try to steal it from him. If he's really your friend maybe your honesty will pay off and he'll sell you a really cool car at a fair price. Just my .02, Ed

You should try to resist the temptation of the "take advantage of the situation gods," IMO. It's one thing to have a friend who's wanting to sell right away because he needs cash quick (for whatever reason).
I make sure that is what they REALLY want to do, and that I am giving them exactly what they want, so there is no seller's remorse later that will cause bad feelings. There's not much worse than a brick through your pane glass window when the guy finds out he's been taken major league advantage of. Just my .02US. JB |

I agree with the no taking advantage rule myself as far as friends are concerned.....
But don't give me the b.s. that if someone could buy a Nickey car for dirt cheap they would'nt do it themselves. Sure being friends with somoene is different, and honesty should prevail, but if it is just word of mouth yeah, I think people would get it dirt cheap if they could. |
