I looked at some of the gold pictures and could not tell FOR SURE whether the rockers appeared gold or not... When I then saw the pictures showing the stripe ends in the door jamb it led me to HOLD out HOPE there is the possibility that the actual original tape job on the rockers could be determined if carefully inspected while stripping the paint. Most people if they found the huge dip below the rocker molding would never think it came like that, however it did. NOW actually restoring it like that, well that is up to the customer, however I would think most customers would be OK with the 3/16 wide black strip between the rocker and quarter at the end of the spear on a X66 Yenko, if it were determined that the car was painted that way out of Norwood.

Here is a picture of the Yenko approx 1978 still wearing its Olympic Gold paint and notice the blacked out rocker panels and the holes in the fenders under Camaro emblem for the Yenko emblems.

Frank is going to have a great canvas ...when Troy purchased the car in 76 it had approximately 8 thousand miles on it ...it is rust free with all original sheet metal , glass and interior. It reminds me of our 67 Yenko in the same condition....we will ask Troy to help with questions during the build. He is very proud of his car. When we finish the car I hope to have Troy and family come to MCACN for the show.

This hood was a short lived addition before the original cowl hood was put back on. Notice the black rocker panels.
