Here is a new/old part I am buying:-)
I am still figuring out shipping........ Trying to be cost effective:-( I plan to remove the shifter hump and then media blast the whole piece, I only need the hump so I may be able to recover some of the costs by selling the tunnel? Ryan Pictures later, I forgot my IPhone won't post pictures before I started typing:-(

Make sure you stay with in the PSMCDR's rules, as they are watching [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/
![]() Do they consider a Ram Rod shifter to even have an H Pattern. Is there anyone in PSMCDR's running a Ram Rod Shifter? I would hate to see you do all this work and not be able to compete. Dan

Gosh Ryan!, I completely forgot I was to send you bumper jack info. I apologize my friend! Looks like you're in good shape without my pictures! Your project is moving right along. Will PSMCD make you run that "255"? I'd lobby for you to "build" another carb and keep that one (along with your balancer) under wraps. If allowed, find and build a "251" or "253" for racing.

Dan </div></div> I would kick myself out of PSMCDR if I showed up with a Ram Rod:-) H pattern is clearly stated in the rules (below). I am buying the Ram Rod shifter to have fun with:-) someday I will swap it in possibly with the M22 to experience the whine of the M22 and the 2.20 first gear:-( and the Ram Rod INLINE/not H pattern shifter. Maybe by this time I will have bought/built a 4.33 rear....... I have too many future plans. SOMEDAY/2020 I also want to buy/restore a tiny vintage camper trailer to tow around:-) This one is a 2015 retro camper I saw at a Ribfest last weekend. (way bigger than I want but the style is ON POINT!!!) ![]() Ryan "Manual Transmissions The transmission must be correct for year, make, model and engine of the car. 3-speed manuals may be upgraded to the correct 4-speed if originally available. Aftermarket H-pattern shifters are allowed if no modifications to the floorpan are necessary. Line locks are not allowed. Scattershields are okay. No conversions from column-shift to floor shift allowed unless available as a factory option. Aluminum flywheels are NOT allowed."

Dave: As you mentioned I made out great getting jack info. (No Stress) I have a normal balancer included in my engine build, Someday I will have my original W31 balancer rebuilt at the Damper Doctor in California but it would be for street use. My original carb is leaving Monday for rebuild, if someone close to Lansing Michigan has a suitable similar core carb (or two) at a reasonable price I would consider it. I looked into buying a second carb from NAPA, and the online mega carb sale places but too much money for what I feel I would receive. I see so many messy carburetor stories of Franken-carbs, to cobbled-carbs, I am trying to stay away from troubles. The PSMCDR rules are specific, but if I read them while tilting my head on a 45 degree angle I don't see any requirement that specific codes are stamped on the carb:-) Ryan "Fuel System The carburetor must be correct for the year, make, and horsepower claimed. Jetting and metering changes are permitted. THE CHOKE ASSEMBLY MUST BE IN PLACE AND FUNCTIONAL! Mechanical secondary carbs cannot be substituted if vacuum operated units were original to the car. Mechanical fuel pumps must be retained. Electric fuel pumps are NOT allowed. No fuel pressure gauges are allowed anywhere along the fuel system. Factory fuel lines are required and must be correct size. No rubber lines allowed unless originally equipped as such. No fuel cells are allowed"

What exactly are you planning to use off that? The repop Chevelle piece works fine.
