I used to do that trick with rolling slow in 1st gear and going on and off the throttle and stabbing it in rythm to get the front und up. Kinda like the guys doing it with hydraulics.

You'll need some 4 series gears out back.

I used to do this with my old 55 Chevy as well. A big block 4 spd with 4:88 gears. You could get it to hop a couple of times with worn out front shocks, and then get about a foot of air underneath. Good times, but I remember how bad the rest of the car was too, Brakes suspension, and everything else came second to the drivetrain. I wouldn't roll 10 feet in that car now if it was still around.
