A question came up in the eBay section pertaining to a car's color. Some colors look different under different lighting situations: Bright Outdoor, Cloudy Outdoor, Shade Outdoor, Florescent Indoor, etc.
In 1968, Olds offered Scarlet Red as an RPO color. All three of these 442s are reportedly the same color: |

BTW - from what I see in my internet travels - about 80% of 1968 442s with the stripes are wrong. |

Love all the info on the 67 Z/28. Still kicking myself for passing on a red one with white stripes and black interior, in the fall of 71. Original engine trans and rear. I put a hurst shifter in it in 1970 in the driveway at my best friend's house. He offered it to me for $1,000 bucks, and I passed. He bought a brand new Cutlass to drive to college. The Z/28 just wasn't that friendly of a road car. Sadly, he died before the end of that first semester at college.
The car ended up totaled by another great friend (we are still friends today) and was junked.
