Charlie is right, the Speedway Wide Tread was the tire of choice for Chevy until approximately April of '69. Chevy was the last one to convert over to Polyglas. Kelsey has searched for memo from Goodyear to Chevy or vice versa, but nothing to substantiate the exact time. Our timeline is from original car owners.
As for Goodyear or Firestone, I know a lot of assembly plants were using multiple tire companies to fill out the builds. To my knowledge, both were available for the '69 Nova. Contact me if you have any questions.

Uniroyal or US Royal had been a staple with Pontiac since the GTO started up. I have heard about Uniroyals in '69, but I do not have a timeline as to when exactly they rolled down the line.
