I recall the made-for-street version of those wheels being very, very popular in the 1980s. Anyone remember the chrome aluminum center / steel rim composite Cragar SST wheels?

Yes, I had a set of them on my '67 SS396 Chevelle for a little while. Then I put a set of Keystone Classics on it.

Cool wheel
X2 if you can score some original center caps it will up the cool factor We lost a 15 X 4 center line in the early 80's while driving on the street. You just have to be very careful when you drive on the street with a wheel designed for drag racing.

I just found a pic of my wheels after I took them off the car and cleaned them up a bit. These center caps are super hard to find but definitely complete the look!

I have a couple of questions about the ST wheels,a friend asked me after I sent him the link to this thread.
Does anyone know the exact year Cragar ST wheels were introduced? Weight of the ST wheels ?

I believe I read- read because I was born in 1999, that the Super Tricks were first released in 1970 or 1971. I could be wrong.

I believe the super trick wheels came out in the late 60s early 70s Jenkins had them on his 1970 pro stocker but not on the 69, heres a picture of the 15x3.5 cragar super trick and I had a 15x3.5 weld wheel right there so I weighed it just for comparison!

They are listed in the 72 catalog I will have to look if I can find a 1971 and a 1970 catalog that are complete.
