It may be the end of the week before I get back there again. Believe it or not, the house is about 3 blocks from mine, and you would never even know that there was a garage behind the house. Ed's a little camera shy, that's one of Dave's employees in the hat. If you look at the back corner on the left you can see the front fenders. Except for the original motor and trans, it's all there, somewhere.
Included with the car is a 1960 Olds motor with tranny attached, out of a wreck that only had 2000+ miles on it.
I will post more when I can. This is truely automotive archiology.

The car will be removed this Sunday or Monday.
No snakes to worry about, and the critters will just have to find new digs.
There are some rare parts that we know are burried there.
BTW, it was just plain dumb luck that this deal fell into place. No geese were chased.

What exactly is that windshield tag? Looks like "Navy Air base"?

Ed bought this car in 1951, when he got out of the Navy.

Columbus has a huge military depot, which includes a Naval
Reserve base. Very small, but still very Naval. Every car entering the depot requires some sort of ID on it. Still true today.

from Port Columbus Airport web page

1942
A Naval Air Facility was established at Port Columbus. The Navy erected several buildings, lengthened the runways and enlarged the ramp facilities.

Could not find much else, but there was a Naval Air Station there.
