Another notable is Jim Lerum's '70 LS6, which went a 12.28 @ 114...I *believe* that might be the second quickest 4-speed car at Stanton?

[/ QUOTE ]

you would be correct... except Ken ran in the teens with his L72 Vette

Congrats Jim !!

My best pass of the weekend was a 12.21 @ 115.32. The motor still loves 40* of timing. On a good day I think it should.............I'll just keep my pie hole shut.

Thanks for the cudooo's though. I'm just happy that we posted numbers that the 70 LS-6 is capable of. I don't want to make it a slap to anyone because Tim Clary myself and others have worked very hard to go fast. As I told Tim C., the victory is that the car deserves better as I'm afraid people were starting to think they were over-rated. We just see very few automatic trans in LS-6 cars. On the reverse I know of only 1 440-6 Mopar with a 4 speed.

For those wondering about the combo, it's a close ratio M-22 with a 4.33 gear. Yes, we are using the Crane Blueprint 143 camshaft.!

I'm waiting for the flaming arrows........YOU CHEATER!!!!!

Jim

LOL...it dawned on me as I walking away from the trailer, I forgot Ken! Another L72 car, of all things!! And a KILLER one at that...he ended up going a 12.07 @ 117+ during eliminations! Rowing the gears and pulling away...

Don't know how bad the Sub's hurt yet...just rolled it into it's spot in the shop and shut off the lights...nothing blew apart, so hopefully won't be too bad. Gotta build a playhouse for my daughter before I can tear into this week...

Hey, I heard that Ken went 118+ during the shoot out. That thing is humping big time. He thought it was an extra mph do to the air but it went like this for density altitude.

Jim, congrats on the best time!!!

Rob, sorry to hear about the yellow sub!!!

My car ran a best at one of these events. I went 13.39 @ 103.6 losing first round of my shootout to Mr. Brass. Even though I lost the first round, I did not lose the shootout.

LOL...that's awesome Rusty, congrats! Makes that long haul worth while, and all those miles roll by faster. Another notable is Tom Payne's car going a 12.92 @ 109(?!)...for those that don't know, that was his little blue Chevy II strutting it's stuff at Collinsville a few weeks ago.

Congrats, y'all...
