i am buying one of those for my 2007 GT500 Shelby.
with a factory 1000 watt stereo system i am sure i can make my car sound old school. it will be funny to see the looks on people faces when i go to a cruise

I have GM chambered exhaust on my LS6 car with headers and nothing sounds better.at the ends of the chambered exhausts INLET and OUTLET there is a factory reducer/washer plate that restricts the flow of the exhaust.when you look indside they kind of look like big metal washers welded on.
you can drill them open with a large drill bit to get better exhaust flow and more power. just dont gun it when your around cops as they are very loud.
i love the sound as it is very unique and nothing sounds better than chambered exhaust with headers but my neighbours hate me
Look closely at the attached photo, you can see my chambered exhaust looking nasty !!

I didn't want to hijack this thread until it just about run it's course.

It was brought to my attention recently that chambered exhaust was available on 69 ElCamino's. Has anyone ever seen an original chambered exhaust system on an El Camino?

It would have to be different than the Chevelle system, because the frame has a longer wheel base by 4". The tailpipes also dump behind the rear tires, not under the bumper like the Chevelles. I wonder if there were part numbers for Elky chambered exhaust pieces, in the parts books.

NC-8 was never offered on Elcaminos @ the factory that I can see in any literature.Parts books even specify certain ex. pipes were Elcamino specific...and when Chambered comes up,it states "except Elcamino".

Thanks Rick. I was assuming the Chambered ex was not available. I do have some docs from GM that didn't rule it out, but it also doesn't say it was an option on Elky's

Yes they did. I have the only one, and it for sale

Just kidding. I wish they did. The next best thing is the LS-6 ElCamino. That is a goal of mine, before I'm planted.

Don't want to hijack either, but my '69 BB Pace Car has Canadian docs showing chambered. Anyone know if there are a lot of BB chambered Pacers out there?
