I second everything you said! After more digging, here's something interesting to add:

The earliest versions had the valve stems outside of the spokes. For whatever reason, they were then switched to inside the spokes. And now, the current ones offered by Cragar are back outside the spokes.

That being said, I guess the ones in the original post are a bit different, so I guess that makes 3 types of this style wheel I've seen. That is unless it's a knock-off; which I have heard of.

The back-side of the casting looks similar to the later style ones rather than the earlier style ones too.

Closer inspection reveals that the back-side casting of said wheel in question IS different than Cragar-style ones. More food for thought . . .
