Rusty, sounds like one of your tires has a leak!

I was 19, might have messed up the install - but I found out that they didn't work well. I'd try it again though to avoid paying $1,500!

yea, actually there is some info on Yahoo that states they are all the same length when open. I just can't believe that Hurst or any other manufacturer would make 100 different types of shocks for different applications in the old days. But I could be wrong. Bolting them to traction bars kinda null and voids the travel issue I would think. No matter what, the camaro versions whether mono or multi leaf will always be the big ticket because of the popularity of the camaro. As they say "stupid money." Also I don't think you messed up the installation. Maybe you had shackles or after market springs that made the rear sit higher or lower? This is the fun of Day-2!

That's why we all ran shock extensions.

Speaking of Day-2 parts, I'm looking for some headers, valve covers, ignition, fan, and traction bars. Any help? I may not look for shocks, way out of my range!

I think you both might be right, I had shackles and shock extenders - with mono leafs! What kid measures first, then buys tires? We bought the biggest tires we could first, then figured out how to make them fit,

This setup got me pulled over numerous times - one officer actually pulled out a tape measure, back bumper was too high so he issued me a citation, My dates would slide off the front seat when I hit the brakes if/when a fresh coat of Armour All was recently applied!
