Wow.
Tom: I am guessing there are some threads about your car. Any chance you can provide some links? I would like to know about the engine, tires, gearing, rear suspension mods etc. Killer shots of a killer car.

With a little over 2000 miles on the odometer, and other tell tale signs, obvious the car was put on the drag strip early on in its life and has remained there ever since. The history of the car is still being research, but we do know it was first raced in the Cleveland, Ohio area, then later on, in and around Columbus, Ohio. In 1990 the car was the NHRA Division 3 “Super Street” winner. In 1996 the car was listed for sale in National Dragster for $8500.00, selling to a bracket racer near Pittsburgh, PA. Doug Perry, a member on here, found and helped me purchase the car. As far as I can tell, I am the 4th owner. Except for the fiberglass front end and rear decklid, rest original sheetmetal, including floors, dash, firewall, core support, quarter panels, etc. Mostly original interior including dash cluster, door panels, headliner and trim. Rear quarter panels enlarged for tire clearance. NHRA approved rollbar, Lexan glass. Once again Drew was there getting some seat time. The cold track made for a tough time getting the JR to hook.

Joe </div></div> Lol, I've been waiting on you Deuce guys to bust our balls on them! For some reason the wheel place chromed the outer hoop...not sure why, we told them we simply needed wider SS wheels, and the chrome plating took extra time [and $$$$] which meant we didn't get them until *after* the SCR...but when we mocked them up, the chrome kinda grew on me, so we kept them that way. It was gonna break my heart to spray paint over that chrome anyway... |

Yep..now he is into taking a friend (or sister, or dad) along to take his place so he can drive.
Marlin and I have discussed the idea of a play day somewhere with families, JRs and our big cars. Not for sure if we could do it at RT66 during the Classic/SCR, but would be cool if we could do it as some sort of club activity, somewhere, with all of the sYc extended family welcome.
