It looks like it had an aftermarket coil mounted over the heater box, deep groove pulleys are in place, disc brakes, right master cylinder, nice air cleaner sticker that has some miles, original shifter handle, etc... I would say it probably is the real deal and 72/72 711 is a nice combo. Congrates...

A 10C [1968] Z/28 would not have an 8000 rpm tach. Check the trans for a VIN stamp.

Sounds like a car you will enjoy for a small investment. Have fun with it!

If is is a clone, than you got it at a good price. If is a real Z than you got it at a grate price.

Well, shes home. I have a box of reciepts and paperwork w/ owners names
the car came out of Iowa, then went to arlington heights, Ill..those reciepts have alot of repro parts purchased.
at omne time, mr. Parker in cedar Rapids had it quartered and a deck lid, all done @ a Chevy dealer.
in 85 mr. Remiker must have restored it?
im thinking, i am the 5 th owner now? It looks like a 140 mph speedo was bought for it at one point.
also, in 1972..Walt Lakota? ( sp) had the engine replaced w/ a 350 block, and reconditioned heads. A crane cams 350 hp cam was added sometimne in its life too.. i am so digging this car! It drove great, the clutch is tricky, but the last clutch I had was a 4 cyl saturn!
I will take some pix of her tomalla, and upload them somewhere so ya all can see..Thank you for any information you all have given me!!
Scott..a happy guy who realized his dream car!
