Tom, I paypalled you $15 so you have an extra couple bucks to cover the fee. Thanks again!
And thanks to Rick, too. It's like a double pay-it-forward scenario. |

Arrived yesterday. Thanks for the all the help. It's just what I needed and the right part number/date code and everything.
Now I need to find a good rebuilder for it. Anyone have a recommendation? |

Steve, does it need to be sleeved? (Adds a lot to the cost) I restore all of mine here at the shop and am surprised you would not restore your own as you take on pretty much everything. I should have thought about that before it got shipped to you.....

I PM'd Tom to ask what the replacement issue was - probably the leaky rear seal that they all get. Me rebuilding it isn't much of a problem but finding the right rebuilt kit usually is. Any recommendations there?

I have had very good luck with Raybestos. Never been an issue yet. I think the number is MK501

Looks like MK1108 is the 1-1/8" bore kit. I ordered a couple from Rockauto. I also bought a brake cylinder hone. There is some pitting in the rear about an inch in the bore. I'll see if can be lightly honed, otherwise it's sleevin' time. Do you recommend anyone for sleeving these things?

I used White Post Restorations and was very happy with them. All the sleeve vendors require you use Dot 3 fluids.

Thanks for the info. I shipped it off to them this afternoon. I tried lightly honing the bore but the major pits didn't improve much. Better to do it properly the first time, especially when it's the correct "original" piece for my car.
