It looks like a good car but It is odd that a guy who lives in Knoxville Tenn. only advertised on Craigslist in Dallas and not in his home area?

Mark, yes I am some what in agreement, but as I talked with him about
his business he says he likes to advertise in larger markets like Dallas & Atlanta As a side note, is there a way to see the <span style="color: #FF0000">"hidden VIN"</span> without taking the vehicle apart?? <span style="color: #000099">I have somewhat of an idea of its location but I'm not clear on it's exact location. ANY HELP with that would be appreciated when I go to inspect.</span> https://www.yenko.net/ubbthreads/ubbt...opics/301405/1 Dicky

I thought it was odd because Dallas was the only Craigslist area he advertised in. I sent him an e-mail back in November from the Dallas ad and never received detailed pics so I was skeptical. I would think a guy would also advertise locally to have the car inspected in person much easier. It looks like a good car but I would certainly have a thorough inspection. It was priced cheap enough that you would have to wonder, especially for a guy who has seems to deal in cars. Good luck.

You can pretty easily check one of the hidden vins by removing the cowl panel. Can't remember maybe 4 screws need to be removed. There is a chance of scratching some paint when the panel is being removed, so you'd better be willing to buy the car at that point and make that the final check. The other hidden Vin would be extremely difficult to check on an assembled car and no seller is going to let you do that without a large non-refundable deposit in place. The TT looks good. One of the Camaro sites probably has diagrams to show you the hidden vin locations.

Thanks COPO & Tony, I have been all over NastyZ28 with some great results.
I have also searched other sites with some great help. Since the heater motor is so difficult to remove for access to a <span style="color: #FF0000"><span style="font-weight: bold">partial</span>,</span> I was hoping that I would find the <span style="color: #FF0000"><span style="font-weight: bold">partial</span></span> under the cowl vent. but some where I thought I had read that Fisher/GM did not do that on 70's. I have seen a photo of a Blue Camaro with the heater <span style="color: #FF0000"><span style="font-weight: bold">partial</span></span> exposed and the cowl screen open but do not recall the year, & I can not relocate the forum in which I discovered it. If you guys can confirm that there may be a <span style="color: #FF0000"><span style="font-weight: bold">partial</span></span> under the cowl screen then that would help me. I will also be checking the date code on the sub-frame as an added measure. Thanks so much to all of you & SYC. Dicky

NOW I'M GETTING DESPERATE.....
I'm looking at this 70 Camaro.... Some of you say the TT looks good.... (not fake) The engine stamping could be correct but have yet to find a partial S/N on block.... The trans. has all the S/N correct BUT the date lags from TT date..... The rear end should have a COO or CRE stamp but instead has a PY1209G2 which makes it out of a 1st Gen. Camaro or 70's Nova as a 10 bolt with 2.56 - 3.42 gears??? (it does have a 12 bolt carrier)...... HELP HELP HELP.... Please give me your take on this car and it's numbers & value...

The engine stamp looks to have the "T" and "B" at different levels. Can you post a bigger picture?
