The blue stinger vega on the vintage photos page on this site was in upstate NY, and the second vega in the pic was going to be used in the resto effort. Perhaps the same car?

Hello everyone, I was under the assumption that Yenko only converted Vegas 71 & 72. The add claims the Vega to be 73, just trying to learn. Any comment on this?
Thanks Mike

I have original inventory sheets for the 1971 Vegas, but also did not know they made them into 1973. I have no info on them that late and I've never seen a '73 Yenko Stinger personally. Not saying they couldn't have built a few, but without any paperwork I must admit I'm skeptical this car came from Yenko.

Hi, I am the owner of this car. Apologies about my late reply but I was waiting to get approved on the registration. I am an avid collector and vintage race car driver and am selling off many cars in my collection. I have gotten well over 30 inquiries on the Vega, but of course everyone wants to know if it is the real thing. I believe that it has a very good circumstantial case. It has the correct parts, everything looks like it was done in-period, and out of all the people who have seen the car, nobody is saying definitely that it is not.

Is there anyone out there who can come and definitely authenticate (or not) this car for us?

Get a hold of Ed Cuneen. He has most of the VINs and docs. Ya never know. Dave

Hi, All. Many thanks for the help and information. I will reach out to people and try to confirm whether it "is" or "is not" and will post the info once I get confirmation. BTW, I actually am not 100% sure of the year because I was initially traveling and away from the car and paperwork when I made the first post. Steve has promised me the title, so once I get this I can confirm. Thanks again!

Update - I've confirmed the year as 1973 and the VIN. I spoke with Ed Cunneen and he unfortunately has no information on the 1973 cars, although he did confirm that some were built. I will keep searching. Any additional help is appreciated!
