Wow. Does the owner know it’s out there?

I dunno, I was told by someone at the show who is very plugged in to the scene that the car has been sold.
I saw this pic on the web, shows that if someone wants to preserve the paint they are going to have to clear it or something. |

Well, that linked discussion with the CON VIN of the engine that matches this car is 20 years old, so who knows if it's still out there or not. Guess that will be up to the new owner to pursue.

At least it wasn’t blown up in 1970 and melted down.

We do not know what happened the original engine. It was purchased in the early 1980s as you see it. The original engine was missing in 1977 when purchased by the prior owner. We are still researching the car and have it documented back to 1977 in Crestwood Illinois. The car was stored in Elwood during the Winters. (As in Blues Brothers, Jake & Elwood).

----Anyone who saw this JD Yenko at MCACN will tell you that the paint is badly damaged and peeling in several locations. To try and save it or just detail it would (at least in my estimation) be fruitless. Car as it stands is very cool, but the paint is not savable. Clearing it wouldn't be possible!....Bill S

Yeah I saw it, paint was cracking off in a bunch of spots.
Really glad to see it at MCACN, nice job to Ryan B, Stefano, the family for making it happen. |

Stefano sent me a few pictures to share. I really like this car and look forward to get it running as is and whatever the new owner has in store for the future.
